The dog tag is a neo-colonialist emblem of slavery. The wearer of this tag loses his individuality and becomes a cog in the wheel of the unstoppable machine of mass destruction. Glorified as war heroes, these war portraits are ironic since the victory is hollow—there are no winners in a war.
