“Subsense and core sense” 2008
This set of works precede the artist’s current body of work that deal with war and neo-colonialism. What began as delicately rendered drawings on paper have culminated as digital prints on metal plates mounted on stones. Like RIP signs on grave-stones, they narrate the tale of the oil wars, of brute industrialization and ancient methods of torture that passed as means of ‘justice’. The artist deliberates we have not changed much from our times of feudal rule.
